 The National Testing Agency (NTA) has reopened the application window for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2026. The entrance test will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from May 11 to May 31, 2026, on a tentative basis. The exam will take place across India and in select cities outside the country. The online registration process had closed earlier this month after extensions. 

However, following requests from candidates, NTA has provided a special opportunity to apply again. The reopened window will remain active from February 23 (afternoon) to February 26, 2026 (11:50 PM). Candidates who missed earlier deadlines can now complete their registration and fee payment within this limited period.

CUET UG application window reopened till February 26

NTA said the CUET-UG 2026 application process was first open from January 3 to January 30, 2026. The last date to pay the application fee was January 31 (11:50 PM). Later, the deadline was extended to February 4, and fee payment was allowed till February 7.

After receiving several requests for more time, the agency decided to reopen the form submission and fee payment facility. The new window started on February 23 (afternoon) and will close on February 26 at 11:50 PM. This is a special extension. No further extension has been announced.

How to apply online

Candidates can follow these steps to complete the application process:

1. Visit the official website: cuet.nta.nic.in
2. Click on the CUET-UG 2026 application link.
3. Register using basic details and create login credentials.
4. Fill in the application form with personal, academic, and contact details.
5. Upload the required documents, including photograph and signature.
6. Pay the application fee online.
7. Submit the form and download the confirmation page for future reference.
8. Candidates are advised to complete the process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
9. No correction facility after submission

NTA has clearly stated that this is a special extended period. Candidates must enter all details carefully while filling out the form. There will be no correction window after submission.

Applicants should check their personal details, subject choices, uploaded documents, and payment status before final submission. Once the form is submitted, no changes will be allowed under any circumstances.

 Students who are seeking to get admission to UG courses at central, state, private, deemed or government universities must complete their online registration at cuet.nta.nic.in. 

The agency has also released a revised CUET UG registration 2026 fee payment and correction window schedule. Candidates must ensure their eligibility before applying online. The online, computer-based tests will be held from May 11 to 30, 2026 across the country and a few foreign centres.

1. Visit cuet.nta.nic.in.
2. Click on the “CUET UG 2025 Scorecard” related link.
3. Enter your application number and date of birth.
4. Download your scorecard and save a copy for admissions.

• Candidate information and qualifying status
  Universities will use these to create customised merit lists—there’s no single, common rank list from NTA.

Next Steps After Result

• Universities participating in the CUET will open their admission portals and announce cut-off lists based on the scores from this exam.
• For example, Delhi University (DU) is already hosting webinars starting June 26 to guide students through registration via the CSAS portal, and the participating universities that accept the CUET scorecard. 
• Students are advised to gather original documents, check university deadlines, and stay alert for webinars and admission updates.

12-ம் வகுப்பு முடித்தவர்கள், டிப்ளமோ படித்தவர்கள் இந்தத் தேர்வை எழுதலாம். இந்த தேர்வு எழுத வயது வரம்பு இல்லை.

தேர்வு பற்றி...

ஹைபிரிட் முறையில் தேர்வு நடக்கும். NCERT பாடப் புத்தகங்களில் இருந்து கேள்விகள் கேட்கப்படும்.

இந்தத் தேர்வு நான்கு பிரிவுகளை கொண்டதாகும். இதில் துறை சார்ந்த கேள்வி, மொழியறிவு திறன், பொது அறிவு, நடப்பு நிகழ்வுகள், ஆப்டிட்யூட் உள்ளிட்ட கேள்விகள் கேட்கபப்டும்.

தேர்வுக்கு பின், கலந்தாய்வு மூலம் கல்லூரிகளில் சேர முடியும்.

தேர்வு எப்போது?

விண்ணப்பங்கள் பிப்ரவரி மாதத்தில் வெளியிடப்படும் என்றும், தேர்வு மே மாதம் நடத்தப்படும் என்றும் எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.

The CUET (UG) provides a single window opportunity to students seeking admission in any of the Central Universities (CUs) or other participating organizations (including State Universities, Deemed and Private Universities) across the Country.

Note: 

1. From the above subjects/languages, the candidate can choose a maximum of 06 (six) subjects from all three Sections.

2. 40 out of 50 questions for all test papers and 50 out of 60 for the General Test (An overall choice of 10 questions will be provided for all 61 subjects).

3. It is advisable for candidates to select at least one language and the General Test.

4. Duration for all test papers would be 45 minutes except for Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, Accountancy, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Computer Science/Informatics Practices, and General Tests which would be 60 minutes. 

5. The examination will be conducted on multiple days in two or three shifts, depending on the number of
