ADMISSIONS 

Admissions to IMU-BBA Programme will be conducted through counselling based on 12th marks

3-Year BBA (Logistics, Retailing and E-Commerce) – Non-Residential.

 (i) Eligibility Criteria 10+2/equivalent with minimum 50% of aggregated marks in any stream and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th / 12th Examination. Note: Percentage of the Aggregate marks will be calculated by considering the marks scored in English subject plus the marks scored in Major Subjects (excluding other languages). 

(ii) Age Criteria Maximum age: For Male: General-25 years, OBC(NCL)-28 years, SC/ST-30 years. For Female/Transgender: General-27 years, OBC(NCL)-30 years, SC/ST 32 years. The reference date for calculation of the age will be from the date of commencement of the Academic Session (01.08.2026) .

 (iii) Relaxation For SC/ST candidates : There will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks; however, it will not apply to English Marks. 

(iv) Medical Certificate requirement All Candidates who qualify for this course will have to submit a Physical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner at the time of Certificate Verification.

 3-Year Apprenticeship embedded BBA (Maritime Logistics) –Non-Residential.

 (i) Eligibility 10+2/equivalent with minimum 50% of aggregated marks in any stream and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th / 12th Examination Note: Percentage of the Aggregate marks will be calculated by considering the marks scored in English subject plus the marks scored in Major Subjects (excluding other languages).

கடல் சார் படிப்பு - ஓரு பார்வை.

இந்தியாவில் இருந்து அனுப்பப்படும் 95% சரக்குகள் கப்பல்கள் மூலமே அனுப்பப்படுகின்றன. 7,500 கி.மீ. தூரம் கொண்ட இந்தியக் கடற்கரையில் 12 பெரிய துறைமுகங்களும் 200க்கும் மேற்பட்ட சிறிய துறைமுகங்களும் உள்ளன. அந்த அளவுக்குக் கப்பல் போக்குவரத்து முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்ததாக உள்ளது. கப்பலில் பொறியாளர் ஆக வேண்டும் என்றால் மரைன் இன்ஜினீயரிங்கும் கேப்டனாக வேண்டும் என்றால் பி.எஸ்சி. நாட்டிக்கல் சயின்ஸ் என்கிற கப்பல்துறை அறிவியல் படிப்பையும் படிக்க வேண்டும்.

பிளஸ் டூ வகுப்பில் இயற்பியல், கணிதம், வேதியியல் ஆகிய பாடப்பிரிவுகளை எடுத்தவர்கள் இதனைப் படிக்கலாம். கப்பலில் பணிபுரிவதில் ஆர்வமிக்க மாணவர்களுக்கு ஏற்ற படிப்பு நாட்டிக்கல் சயின்ஸ். இதைப் படித்தவர்கள் சரக்குக் கப்பல்களிலும் பயணிகள் கப்பலிலும் உலகம் முழுவதும் கடல் மார்க்கமாகப் பயணம் செய்யும் வாய்ப்பைப் பெறலாம்.

கடல்சார் படிப்புகளை வழங்கும் முக்கியக் கல்வி நிறுவனமான இந்தியக் கடல்சார் பல்கலைக்கழகம் (Indian Maritime University) சென்னை கிழக்குக்
கடற்கரைச் சாலையில் உத்தண்டியில் 2009ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் செயல்பட்டு வருகிறது. கொச்சி, கொல்கத்தா, மும்பை துறைமுகம், நவி மும்பை, விசாகப்பட்டினம் ஆகிய இடங்களில் இந்தப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் வளாகங்கள் உள்ளன.

நாட்டிக்கல் சயின்ஸ்: கடல்சார் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் சென்னை, கொச்சி, நவி மும்பை வளாகங்களில் பி.எஸ்சி. நாட்டிக்கல் சயின்ஸ் மூன்று ஆண்டுப் படிப்பைப் படிக்கலாம். இப்படிப்பில் சேர்வதற்கு இந்தப் பல்கலைக் கழகம் நடத்தும் பொது நுழைவுத் தேர்வை எழுத வேண்டும். கணிதம், இயற்பியல், வேதியியல் ஆகிய பாடப்பிரிவுகளில் குறைந்தது 60% மதிப்பெண்களும் (பட்டி யல்சாதி, பழங்குடியின மாணவர்களுக்கு 5% மதிப்பெண் சலுகை உண்டு) ஆங்கிலத்தில் குறைந்தது 50% மதிப்பெண்களும் பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும்.

திருமணம் ஆகி இருக்கக் கூடாது. நல்ல உடல்தகுதியும் தெளிவான கண் பார்வையும் இருக்க வேண்டும். மாணவர் சேர்க்கையின்போது இதற்கான மருத்துவச் சான்றிதழ்களைச் சமர்ப்பிக்க வேண்டி வரும். வளாகத்தில் தங்கிப் படிக்க வேண்டும். படிக்கும்போதே கப்பலில் நேர்முகப் பயிற்சி பெற வேண்டியதிருக்கும்.

எனவே, இப்படிப்பில் சேரும் மாணவர்கள் பாஸ்போர்ட் வாங்கி வைத்திருக்க அறிவுறுத்தப்படுகிறார்கள். படிப்பை முடித்த பிறகு மரைன் ஆபரேஷன் மேனேஜர், ஷிப்பிங் ஏஜென்ட், மரைன் இன்சூரன்ஸ் ஸ்பெஷலிஸ்ட், டெக் ஆபீசர், மரைன் டெர்மினல் மேனேஜர், மரைன் பைலட், மரைன் டெக்னீஷியன் போன்ற பணிகளில் சேரலாம்.

டிப்ளமோ படிப்பு: மெர்ச்சன்ட் நேவி பணி என்பது நல்ல ஊதியத்துடன், சவாலும் சாகசமும் நிறைந்த பணி. கப்பலில் தொடக்கநிலை ஊழியர்களாகப் பணிபுரியும்போது பல மாதங்கள் குடும்பத்தைப் பிரிந்து இருக்க வேண்டியிருக்கும். அதற்குரிய மனப்பக்குவத்தை வளர்த்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டும். சில மாதங்கள் தொடர்ச்சியாக வேலை பார்த்தால், அடுத்த ஓரிரு மாதங்கள் முழு ஊதியத்துடன் கூடிய விடுமுறை கிடைக்கும். இந்தப் பணிகளுக்கு ஏற்ற உடல்தகுதியும் மனஉறுதி யும் இருப்பவர்கள் இப்படிப்பில் சேரலாம்.

நாட்டிக்கல் சயின்ஸ் டிப்ளமோ (DNC) ஓராண்டுப் படிப்பைக் கடல்சார் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் சென்னை, நவி மும்பை வளாகங்களில் படிக்கலாம். கணிதம், இயற்பியல், வேதியியல் பாடப்பிரிவுகளை எடுத்துப் படித்த பிளஸ் டூ மாணவர்கள் இப்படிப்பில் சேரலாம். பி.எஸ்சி. இயற்பியல், கணிதம், வேதியியல் அல்லது எலெக்ட்ரானிகஸ் ஆகிய பாடப்பிரிவுகளில் பி.எஸ்சி. படித்த மாணவர்களும் பி.இ. பி.டெக். படித்த மாணவர்களும் இப்படிப்பில் சேரலாம். இப்படிப்பில் சேரக் கப்பல் நிறுவனத்தின் ஸ்பான்சர்ஷிப் பெறவேண்டியதும் அவசியம்.

இப்படிப்பில் சேரவும் நுழைவுத் தேர்வு உண்டு. டிப்ளமோ முடித்தவர்கள் மெர்ச்சன்ட் நேவியில் டெக் ஆபீசர் பணியில் சேர்வதற்கு டைரக்டரேட் ஜெனரல் ஆஃப் ஷிப்பிங் நடத்தும் தகுதித் தேர்விலும் (Cerificate of Competency - CoC) தேர்ச்சிபெற வேண்டும்.

டிப்ளமோ படிப்பை முடித்தவர்கள் நேவிகேட்டிங் ஆபீசர், ஷிப் சர்வேயர், போர்ட் மேனேஜர், மரைன் சேஃப்டி இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் போன்ற பணிகளில் சேரலாம். இந்த ஓராண்டு டிப்ளமோ படிப்பை முடித்தவர்கள், 18 மாதங்கள் மெர்ச்சன்ட் நேவியில் டெக் கேடட்டாக நேர்முகப் பயிற்சியுடன் உரிய தேர்வுகளையும் எழுதி பி.எஸ்சி. அப்ளைடு நாட்டிக்கல் சயின்ஸ் பட்டத்தைப் பெறவும் வாய்ப்பு உண்டு.

கடற்படையில் பி.டெக். படிக்கலாம்! - இந்தியக் கடற்படையில் பணிபுரிய (Cadet Entry Scheme) விரும்பும் பிளஸ் டூ படித்த மாணவர்கள் கேரளம் எழில்மலையில் உள்ள இந்தியன் நேவல் அகாடமியில் எலெக்ட்ரானிக்ஸ் அண்ட் கம்யூனிகேஷன், மெக்கானிக்கல் இன்ஜினீயரிங் பாடப்பிரிவுகளில் பி.டெக். படிப்பில் சேர விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம்.

பிளஸ் டூ வகுப்பில் கணிதம், இயற்பியல், வேதியியல் பாடங்களில் குறைந்தது 70% மதிப்பெண்கள் பெற்றவர்கள் இப்படிப்பில் சேர விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம். எழுத்துத் தேர்வு, நேர்முகத் தேர்வுகளின் அடிப்படையில் தகுதிவாய்ந்த மாணவர்கள் இப்படிப்பில் சேரத் தேர்வு செய்யப்படுவார்கள்.

மாணவர்களுக்கு மருத்துவப் பரிசோதனையும் இருக்கும். படிப்பதற்கு மாணவர்கள் எந்தக் கட்டணமும் செலுத்த வேண்டியதில்லை. படிப்பை முடித்தவர்களுக்கு பி.டெக். பட்டமும் இந்தியக் கடற்படையில் சப் லெப்டினென்ட் அந்தஸ்தில் பணிபுரியும் வாய்ப்பும் வழங்கப்படும்.

Indian Maritime University(IMU) - CET- Last Date : 2/5/2025

 

India is endowed with 12 Major and 200+ Non-Major Ports situated along its 7500km long coastline and a vast network of navigable waterways. The maritime sector plays a crucial role in the overall trade and growth, with 95% of the country’s trade volume and 65% of the trade value being undertaken through sea transport. During the year 2020 the NITI Aayog of India unveiled “Blue Economy”initiatives to harness the full potential of Maritime / Ocean resources.

Indian Maritime University, established through an Act of Parliament (Act 22) in November 2008 as a Central University, is poised to play a key role in the development of trained human resources for the maritime sector..

The IMU CET 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on May 24, 2025, with the application form release date being March 7, 2025, and the last date for online registration being May 2, 2025.
