National Sports Awards 2022-Awardees

 Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports announced the National Sports Awards 2022 yesterday. The awardees will receive their awards from the President of India at a specially organized function at Rashtrapati Bhavan on 30th November, 2022 (Wednesday) at 1600 hrs.

• Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award 2022 will be given to Sharath Kamal Achanta
• 25 Sports persons will receive Arjuna Awards for outstanding performance in Sports and Games 2022

Based on the recommendations of the Committee and after due scrutiny, Government has decided to confer awards upon the following sportspersons, coaches and entities:

National Sports Awards are given every year to recognize and reward excellence in sports.

‘Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award’ is given for the spectacular and most outstanding performance in the field of sports by a sportsperson over the period of the previous four years.

‘Arjuna Award for outstanding performance in Sports and Games’ is given for good performance over a period of the previous four years and for showing qualities of leadership, sportsmanship and a sense of discipline.

‘Dronacharya Award for outstanding coaches in Sports and Games’ is given to coaches for doing outstanding and meritorious work on a consistent basis and for enabling sportspersons to excel in International events.

‘Dhyan Chand Award for Lifetime achievement in Sports and Games’ is given to honour sportspersons who have contributed to sports by their performance and who continue to contribute to promotion of sports event after their retirement.

‘Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puruskar’ is given to corporate entities (both in private and public sector), Sports Control Boards, NGOs, including sports bodies at the State and National level, who have played a visible role in the area of sports promotion and development.

The overall top performing university in inter-university tournaments is given the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad (MAKA) Trophy.

This year, for the first time, applications were invited only online and sportspersons/coaches/entities were permitted to self-apply through a dedicated portal. A large number of nominations were received for these awards this year, which were considered by the Selection Committee headed by Justice A. M. Khanwilkar, Retd. Judge, Supreme Court of India and consisting members from eminent sportspersons, persons having experience in sports journalism and sports administrators.

412 இலவச நீட் பயிற்சி மையங்கள்-பள்ளிக்கல்வித்துறை அறிவிப்பு.

 

சென்னை: தமிழ்நாட்டில் நடப்பாண்டு 412 இலவச நீட் பயிற்சி மையங்கள்கள் மூலம் அரசு பள்ளி மாணாக்கர்களுக்கு இலவசமாக நீட் பயிற்சி வழங்கப்படும் என பள்ளிக்கல்வித்துறை அறிவித்து உள்ளது.

மருத்துவ படிப்புக்கு நீட் தேர்வு கட்டாயமாக்கப்பட்டுள்ள நிலையில், அரசு பள்ளி மாணாக்கர்கள் மருத்துவ படிப்பில் சேர ஏதுவாக கடந்த அதிமுக ஆட்சியில், 7.5 சதவிகித உள்ஒதுக்கீடு சட்டம் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டது. மேலும், இலவச நீட் பயிற்சி வகுப்புகளும் தொடங்கப்பட்டு நீட் பயிற்சி வழங்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. இதை தற்போதைய திமுகஅரசும் தொடர்ந்து வருகிறது. இதன்மூலம் சுமார் 400 அரசு பள்ளி மாணாக்கர்கள் மருத்துவம் படிக்கும் வாய்ப்பை பெற்று வருகின்றனர்.

இநத் நிலையில், நடப்பாண்டிற்கான நீட் தேர்வு பயிற்சி வகுப்புகள் தொடங்குவது குறித்து தமிழ்நாடு பள்ளிக் கல்வித்துறை அறிவிப்பு வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. அதன்படி போட்டி தேர்வுகளுக்கு அரசு மற்றும் அரசு உதவி பெறும் பள்ளிகளில் 11, 12 ஆம் வகுப்புகளில் படிக்கும் மாணவர்களுக்கு ஒரு 3வது வார சனிக்கிழமைகளில் இருந்து ஒவ்வொரு வார சனிக்கிழமைகளிலும் நேரடி பயிற்சி வகுப்புகள் நடத்தப்பட இருக்கின்றன.

போட்டித் தேர்வுக்கு பயிற்சி பெற விரும்பும் 12 ஆம் வகுப்பு மாணவர்கள் 11ஆம் வகுப்பு மதிப்பெண் அடிப்படையில் ஒன்றியத்திற்கு அதிகபட்சம் 50 பேரும், 11ஆம் வகுப்பு மாணவர்கள் பத்தாம் வகுப்பு மதிப்பெண் அடிப்படையில் ஒன்றியத்திற்கு அதிகபட்சம் 20 பேரும் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட வேண்டும் என்று தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டு உள்ளது.

UGC NET Result 2022 Live Updates: National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) result for December and June exams tomorrow, November 5, 2022. UGC NET 2022 result will be available on

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with the task of conducting UGC-NET, which is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian universities and colleges.

Until June 2018, the NET was conducted by CBSE in 84 subjects at 91 cities across the country. Thereafter from December 2018 onwards, the UGC-NET is being conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Awarding of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/ or Eligibility for Assistant Professorship depends on the aggregate performance of the candidate in Paper-I and Paper-II of UGC-NET. The candidates qualifying only for Assistant Professorship are not to be considered for the awarding of JRF. Candidates who qualify the eligibility test for Assistant Professorship are governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of Assistant Professor of the concerned universities/colleges/state governments, as the case may be.

UGC-NET is conducted twice every year. Due to postponement of December 2021 UGC-NET in view of COVID-19, the schedule of June 2022 UGC-NET has been delayed. In order to regularize the UGC-NET examination cycles, the National TestingAgency (NTA), with the concurrence of UGC, has merged both UGC-NET of December 2021 and June 2022 (merged cycles), so that they may be conducted together in CBT mode.

ABOUT SAINIK SCHOOLS SOCIETY (SSS)

Sainik Schools Society (SSS) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Defence, Govt of India. The Society runs Sainik Schools. Sainik Schools are English medium residential schools affiliated to CBSE. Sainik Schools prepare Cadets to join the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla (Pune), Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala and other Training Academies for officers. 

At present there are a total of 33 Sainik Schools across the country. List of Sainik Schools isgiven in Appendix- IA.

ABOUT APPROVED NEW SAINIK SCHOOLS(NSS)

Ministry of Defence (MoD) has approved setting up of approved New Sainik Schools, in partnership with NGOs/private schools/State Governments. The scheme leverages 

Public/private partnership in education sector, help tap into existing infrastructure available with reputed private and Govt. Schools and open-up new capacities to meet the growing aspirations of children desirous of receiving education in a Sainik School environment. 

These Approved New Sainik Schools, besides their affiliation to respective Education Boards, will function under the aegis of Sainik Schools Society and will follow the Rules and Regulations for approved New Sainik Schools prescribed by the Sainik School Society. In addition to their regular affiliated board curriculum, they will also impart education of Academic PLUS curriculum to the students of Sainik school pattern. The fee structure, Education Board and language of Instructions of approved New Sainik Schools differ from School to School. List of approved New Sainik Schools is given in Appendix IB.
