முதுகலை பொறியியல் படிப்பு - ‘கேட்’ நுழைவுத் தேர்வுக்கு ஆக.25 முதல் செப். 25 வரை விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம்

 

முதுநிலை பொறியியல் படிப்புகளில் சேருவதற்கான ”கேட்” நுழைவுத் தேர்வுக்கு பட்டதாரிகள் வரும் ஆகஸ்ட் 25ம் தேதி முதல் விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம் என்று அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

நாடு முழுவதுள்ள ஐஐடி உட்பட மத்திய உயர்கல்வி நிறுவனங்களில் முதுநிலை பொறியியல் படிப்புகளில் சேர கேட் (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) எனும் தேசிய நுழைவுத் தேர்வு நடத்தப்படுகிறது. அதேபோல பல்வேறு பொதுத் துறை நிறுவனங்களும் ‘கேட்’ தேர்வு மதிப்பெண் அடிப்படையில் பணிக்கு ஊழியர்களை தேர்வு செய்கின்றன. மேலும், கணிசமான தனியார் உயர்கல்வி நிறுவனங்களும் ‘கேட்’ மதிப்பெண் மூலம் மாணவர் சேர்க்கையை நடத்துகின்றன. அதனால் இந்தத் தேர்வானது பட்டதாரிகள் மத்தியில் முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்ததாகும்

இந்த ‘கேட்’ நுழைவுத் தேர்வு இயந்திரவியல், கட்டிடவியல் உட்பட 30 பாடப் பிரிவுகளில் கணினி வழியில் நடத்தப்படும். மொத்தம் 100 மதிப்பெண்களுக்கு 3 மணி நேரம் வரை நடைபெறும். தேர்வு முடிவுகள் வெளியானதில் இருந்து 3 ஆண்டுக்கு இந்த மதிப்பெண் செல்லும். அதன்படி 2026-ம் ஆண்டுக்கான ‘கேட்’ தேர்வு வரும் பிப்ரவரி 7, 8 மற்றும் 14, 15-ம் தேதிகளில் பாடப்பிரிவு வாரியாக காலை, மதியம் என இருவேளைகளிலும் நடைபெவுள்ளது. இந்த முறை ‘கேட்’ தேர்வை கவுகாத்தி ஐஐடி நடத்த உள்ளது. மேலும், தேர்வுக்கான மையங்கள் 8 மண்டலங்களாக பிரித்து அமைக்கப்பட இருக்கின்றன. 

இதற்கான இணையதள விண்ணப்பப் பதிவு ஆகஸ்ட் 25-ம் தேதி முதல் தொடங்குகிறது. எனவே, விருப்பம் உள்ளவர்கள் https://gate2026.iitg.ac.in/ எனும் வலைதளத்தில் சென்று செப்டம்பர் 25-ம் தேதிக்குள் விண்ணப்பிக்க வேண்டும். இந்த வாய்ப்பை தவறவிடுபவர்கள் தாமதக் கட்டணத்தை செலுத்தி அக்டோபர் 6-ம் தேதி வரை விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம். அதனுடன் பொறியியல் இறுதியாண்டு படிக்கும் மாணவர்களும் இந்த ‘கேட்’ தேர்வுக்கு விண்ணப்பிக்க முடியும். தேர்வு முடிவுகள் மார்ச் 19-ல் வெளியிடப்படும். மேலும், கூடுதல் விவரங்களை மேற்கண்ட வலைதளத்தில் சென்று பட்டதாரிகள் அறிந்து கொள்ளலாம் என்று துறை அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்தனர்.

ஐடிஐ மாணவர் சேர்க்கை ஆகஸ்ட் 31 வரை நீட்டிப்பு: வேலைவாய்ப்பு பயிற்சித்துறை அறிவிப்பு

 தமிழக அரசின் வேலை​வாய்ப்பு மற்​றும் பயிற்​சித்​துறை இயக்​குநர் விஷ்ணு சந்​திரன் 4-8-2025 அன்று வெளி​யிட்ட செய்​திக்​குறிப்​பு: தமிழகத்​தில் வேலை​வாய்ப்பு மற்​றும் பயிற்​சித்​துறை​யின்​கீழ் 132 அரசு தொழிற்​ப​யிற்சி நிலை​யங்​களும் (ஐடிஐ), 311 தனி​யார் தொழிற்​ப​யிற்சி நிலை​யங்​களும் இயங்கி வரு​கின்​றன. இவற்​றில் நடப்பு கல்வி ஆண்​டில் (2025-26) நேரடி மாணவர் சேர்க்​கைக்​கான காலஅவ​காசம் ஜூலை 31 வரை வழங்​கப்​பட்​டிருந்​தது. தற்​போது மாணவர்​களின் நலன் கருதி நேரடி சேர்க்கை ஆகஸ்ட் 31 வரை நீட்​டிக்​கப்​படு​கிறது.

TN Students to get textbooks for physical education

 Chennai: From warm-ups to winning medals, Physical Education (PE) in Tamil Nadu schools is getting a major upgrade. For the first time, students of Classes 6 to 10 in govt and aided schools will now have exclusive guide books for PE - making the subject as structured and serious as maths or science.

Released by the school education department, the new physical education guidebooks feature colourful and clear, step-by-step illustrations to help students easily understand exercises, games, and safety techniques. From yoga postures and warm-ups to Tamil heritage games and first aid, each activity is visually explained to support correct form and better engagement. Additionally, it encourages collaboration with special educators to teach children with special needs.According to officials from department, the larger goal is to help students from all walks of life excel in state, national, and international sports competitions, win medals and enhance mental well being. This structured guidebook brings clarity and consistency to how the subject is taught. "For students, it helps develop fitness, coordination, and lifelong healthy habits through age-appropriate, engaging activities.

For teachers, it clearly lays down ready-to-use lesson plans, assessment tools, and activity ideas that make planning easier and ensure consistent quality across classes," T Chandramohan, school education secretary, said.

He further said the sessions outlined in the book also teach important life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and leadership. "Ultimately, they make PE a more meaningful and structured part of every student's school experience," he added.The demand for dedicated textbooks has been longstanding. "As of today, written PE exams are held for students of Classes 6-9 where questions such as the size of a football ground are asked. We have been demanding the department for a dedicated syllabus for PE and textbooks. I am glad this has been fulfilled," said Mohan, PE teacher, Govt Higher Secondary School, Kovalam.However, a few associations representing PE teachers argue that the govt must focus on improving the sports infrastructure in the state and filling vacancies before introducing dedicated textbooks."Ideally, a school is supposed to have two PE teachers — one for students of Classes I-VIII and another for IX-XII. However, in most schools, not even one teacher is posted. Moreover, infrastructure for certain sports, such as pole vaulting, is poor. The govt should focus on building infrastructure to attract students to various types of sports as opposed to conventional ones," said 

S Pushparajan, deputy coordinator, Tamil Nadu physical education teachers association."There are at least 3,000 vacant PE teacher posts across the state. Not just that, if the higher secondary student strength is over 400, a post of a physical director has to be created. However, the govt has not done this in a majority of schools citing fund shortage. When you don't have PE teachers in schools, what good would a textbook do?" asked S Arockiaraj, TN PE Teachers Physical Education Instructors Association's Chennai secretary.

Tamil Nadu government offers renewable energy course in eight polytechnic colleges

  

 In a major initiative to promote green energy education, eight government polytechnic colleges in the southern districts have introduced a new ‘Diploma in Renewable Energy’ programme for the 2025-26 academic year. The course is being offered under a collaboration between the Government of Tamil Nadu and Tata Power Renewable Energy.

The programme follows the ‘Earn While You Learn’ model, enabling students to receive monthly stipends ranging from Rs 4,000 to Rs 10,000 throughout their course period.

As part of the curriculum, students will undergo three months of classroom training at their respective polytechnic colleges-including those in Madurai, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Usilampatti, Andipatti, and Chekkanurani-with a stipend of Rs 4,000 per month. The remaining nine months will be spent at TP Solar Limited in Tirunelveli, where they will gain industrial exposure and receive Rs 8,000 per month.

Speaking to TNIE, G Vijayakumari, Principal of the Government Women’s Polytechnic College, Madurai, said, “Each polytechnic college has an intake of 30 seats. In Madurai, 38 students have already been admitted, with preference given to female candidates. Students will get hands-on learning on par with other engineering streams, including training in solar panel manufacturing, maintenance, and energy efficiency. This opens direct job opportunities at TP Solar after graduation without any service bond.”

Andipatti Government Polytechnic College principal (i/c) M Poonguzhali added that classes began on July 7, and some seats are still available in certain colleges. “Students who have completed Class XII can apply. Hostel and food facilities are provided free of cost during industrial training. The stipend will increase progressively- Rs 8,000 in the first year, Rs 9,000 in the second year, and Rs 10,000 in the final year,” she said.

In addition, eligible students can avail Rs 1,000 monthly assistance under Pudhumaipen or Tamil Pudhalvan schemes. The course fee has been fixed at a nominal Rs 2,500 per year.

Introduction and Overview  UG-CLAT 2025

The UG-CLAT 2025 would focus on evaluating the comprehension and reasoning skills and abilities of candidates. Overall, it is designed to be a test of aptitude and skills that are necessary for a legal education rather than prior knowledge, though prior knowledge occasionally may be useful to respond to questions in the Current Affairs including General Knowledge section.

The UG-CLAT 2025 shall be a 2-hour test, with 120 multiple-choice questions carrying 1 mark each. There shall be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. These questions would be divided across the following 5 subjects:

• English Language
• Current Affairs, including General Knowledge
• Legal Reasoning
• Logical Reasoning
• Quantitative Techniques

English Language

In this section of the UG-CLAT 2025, you will be provided passages of about 450 words each. These passages will be derived from contemporary or historically significant fiction and non-fiction writing, and would be of a standard that a 12th standard student may be able to read in about 5-7 minutes.

Each passage will be followed by a series of questions that will require you to demonstrate your comprehension and language skills, including your abilities to:

• Read and comprehend the main point discussed in the passage, as well as any arguments and viewpoints discussed or set out in the passage;
• Draw inferences and conclusions based on the passage;
• Summarise the passage;
• Compare and contrast the different arguments or viewpoints set out in the passage; and
• Understand the meaning of various words and phrases in the context that they are used in the passage.

In this section, you will be provided passages of up to 450 words each. The passages will be derived from news, journalistic sources and other non-fiction writing. The questions may include an examination of legal information or knowledge discussed in or related to the passage, but would not require any additional knowledge of the law beyond the passage.

Each passage will be followed by a series of questions that will require you to demonstrate your awareness of various aspects of current affairs and general knowledge, including:

• Contemporary events of significance from India and the world;
• Arts and culture;
• International affairs; and
• Historical events of continuing significance.

Legal Reasoning

In this section, you will be expected to read passages of around 450 words each. The passages may relate to fact situations or scenarios involving legal matters, public policy questions or moral philosophical enquiries. You will not require any prior knowledge of law to attempt the questions in this section. You will benefit from a general awareness of contemporary legal and moral issues to better apply general principles or propositions to the given fact scenarios.

Each passage would be followed by a series of questions that will require you to:

• Identify and infer the rules and principles set out in the passage;
• Apply such rules and principles to various fact situations; and
• Understand how changes to the rules or principles may alter their application to various fact situations.

Logical Reasoning

The Logical Reasoning section of the UG-CLAT 2025 will include a series of short passages of about 450 words each. Each passage will be followed by one or more questions that will require you to:

• Recognise an argument, its premises and conclusions;
• Read and identify the arguments set out in the passage;
• Critically analyse patterns of reasoning, and assess how conclusions may depend on particular premises or evidence, and how conclusions may be strengthened or weakened as a consequence of an alteration in premises or supporting facts;
• Infer what follows from the passage and apply these inferences to new situations;
• Draw relationships and analogies, identify contradictions and equivalence, and assess the effectiveness of arguments.

Quantitative Techniques

The Quantitative Techniques section of the UG-CLAT 2025 will include short sets of facts or propositions, or other textual representations of numerical information, followed by a series of questions. You will be required to derive information from the passages or questions, and apply mathematical operations on such information.

The questions will require you to:

• Derive, infer, and manipulate numerical information set out in such passages; and
• Apply various 10th standard mathematical operations on such information, including from areas such as ratios and proportions, basic algebra, mensuration and statistical estimation.

Preparing for the UG-CLAT 2025

The Consortium plans to publish various preparatory materials for the UG-CLAT 2025, including:

• Guides to the question paper and sample questions;
• Model question papers; and
• Instructional materials and exercises for each of the subjects that the UG-CLAT 2025 comprises.

The Consortium will also provide candidates who have successfully completed their application to the UG-CLAT 2025 access to a learning platform where you may access the preparatory materials described above, as well as your scores on various exercises and model question papers. The Consortium shall also organise online sessions for such candidates, in which subject experts shall provide guidance on how best to prepare for each of the sections of the UG-CLAT 2025, and how candidates may approach the questions in each section.

In addition, you should develop your capacity to read and understand bodies of text, ensure you stay abreast of news and current affairs by regularly reading quality newspapers and periodicals, and improve your speed of answering questions on quantitative techniques by practising with materials such as 10th standard mathematics textbooks.

முதல்​நிலைத் தேர்வை பொருத்தவரை​யில் குரூப்-2,குரூப்-2 ஏ இரு தேர்வு​களுக்​கும்பொது​வான தேர்​வு​தான். பொது அறிவு மற்​றும் கணிதம் தொடர்​பான100 கேள்வி​கள், பொது தமிழ் அல்​லது பொது ஆங்​கிலம் பாடத்​தில் 100 கேள்வி​கள் என மொத்​தம் 200 கேள்வி​கள் இடம்​பெறும். ஒரு கேள்விக்கு ஒன்​றரை மதிப்​பெண் வீதம் மொத்​தம் 300 மதிப்​பெண். இதில் வெற்​றி​பெறு​வோர் அடுத்​தகட்ட தேர்​வான முதன்​மைத் தேர்​வுக்கு அனு​ம​திக்​கப்​படு​வர்.

முதன்​மைத் தேர்​வானது குரூப்-2 பணி​களுக்​கும், குரூப்-2ஏ பணி​களுக்​கும் தனித்​தனியே நடத்​தப்​படும். குரூப்-2 பணி​களுக்​கான முதன்​மைத் தேர்​வில், பொது அறிவு பகு​தி​யில் 300 மதிப்​பெண்​களுக்கு விரி​வாக விடையளிக்க வேண்​டும். குரூப்-2 ஏ பணி​களுக்கு பொது அறிவு பகு​தி​யில் 150 கேள்வி​கள், கணிதம் பகு​தி​யில் 50 கேள்வி​கள் என அப்​ஜெக்​டிவ் முறை​யில் 200 கேள்வி​கள் இடம்​பெறும். மொத்த மதிப்​பெண் 300. இது கணினிவழி​யில் நடத்​தப்​படும்.

முன்பு பொது அறிவு பகு​தி​யில் பொதுதமிழ் அல்​லது பொது ஆங்​கிலம் தொடர்​பான 60 வினாக்​கள் இடம்​பெற்​றிருந்​தன. தற்​போது புதிய தேர்​வு​முறை​யில் அப்​பகுதி நீக்​கப்​பட்​டுள்​ளது. மேலும், விரி​வாக பதில் எழுதக்​கூடிய கட்​டாய தமிழ் மொழித் தகு​தித்​தாள் தேர்வு குரூப்-2 குருப் 2-ஏ இரு முதன்​மைத் தேர்​விலும் பொது தேர்​வாக இடம்​பெறும். இதில் குறைந்​த​பட்​சம் 40 சதவீத மதிப்​பெண் பெற வேண்​டும். இந்த தேர்​வில் எடுக்​கும் மதிப்​பெண் ரேங்க் பட்​டியல் தயாரிக்க எடுத்​துக் கொள்​ளப்​ப​டாது என்​பது குறிப்​பிடத்​தக்​கது.

தமிழகம் முழுவதும் நடைபெற்ற குரூப் 4 தேர்வில் 11.48 லட்சம் பேர் கலந்து கொண்டனர். மேலும், வினாத்தாள் கடினமாக இருந்ததாக தேர்வர்கள் தகவல் தெரிவித்தனர்.

தமிழக அரசின் பல்வேறு துறைகளில் உள்ள காலிப் பணியிடங்கள் தமிழ்நாடு அரசுப்பணியாளர் தேர்வாணையம் (டிஎன்பிஎஸ்சி) நடத்தும் போட்டித் தேரவுகள் மூலம் நிரப்பப்படுகின்றன. அதன்படி கிராம நிர்வாக அலுவலர், வனக் காப்பாளர் உட்பட பல்வேறு பதவிகளில் காலியாக உள்ள 3,935 பணியிடங்களை நிரப்புவதற்கான குரூப் 4 தேர்வு மாநிலம் முழுவதும் 3,034 மையங்களில் இன்று நடைபெற்றது.

இந்த தேர்வெழுத மொத்தம் 13 லட்சத்து 89,738 பேர் பதிவு செய்திருந்தனர். அதில் 11 லட்சத்து 48,019 (82.61%) பேர் மட்டுமே தேர்வு எழுதினர். மேலும், 2 லட்சத்து 41,719 நபர்கள் தேர்வு எழுத வரவில்லை. சென்னையில் 311 மையங்களில் நடத்தப்பட்ட குருப் 4 தேர்வை சுமார் 89 ஆயிரம் பேர் வரை எழுதினர்.

அதேநேரம் குரூப் 4 வினாத்தாள் கடினமாக இருந்ததால் தேர்வு முடிந்தபின் பெரும்பாலான தேர்வர்கள் கவலையுடன் காணப்பட்டனர். இது தொடர்பாக தேர்வர்கள் சிலரிடம் கேட்டபோது, “வினாத்தாளில் கணிதம் தவிர்த்து மற்ற பொது அறிவு, தமிழ் போன்ற பகுதிகள் கடினமாகவே இருந்தன. குறிப்பாக வழக்கமாக எளிதாக இருக்கும் தமிழ் பகுதியில் இந்த முறை 60 முதல் 70 சதவீத வினாக்கள் பாடப்புத்தகங்களுக்கும் வெளியே இருந்து கேட்கப்பட்டன.

அவையும் பெரும்பாலும் இலக்கணம் சார்ந்த கேள்விகளாகவும், சற்று விரிவானதாகவும்கேட்கப்பட்டதால் அதை படித்து விடை எழுத அதிக நேரம் தேவைப்பட்டது. ஆனால், பொது ஆங்கிலத்தில் வினாத்தாள் எளிதாக இருக்கிறது. இந்த பாரபட்சத்தை தவிர்க்க வேண்டும்.” என்றனர்.

இதற்கிடையே சென்னை எழும்பூரில் அரசு மகளிர் மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளியில் அமைந்துள்ள தேர்வு மையத்தை டிஎன்பிஎஸ்சி தலைவர் பிரபாகர் ஆய்வு செய்தார். அதன்பின் அவர் நிருபர்களிடம் கூறியதாவது: குரூப் 4 தேர்வு முடிவுகள் அடுத்த 3 மாதங்களில் வெளியிடப்படும். அதேபோல், குரூப் 1 தேர்வை பொறுத்தவரை 2 மாதங்களில் முடிவை வெளியிடுவோம்.

ஏனெனில், இதில் தேர்வு எழுதியவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை குறைவாகும். இந்த ஆண்டு மொத்தம் 7 தேர்வுகள் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டு, அதில் 5 நடைபெற்றுள்ளன. விரைவில் குரூப் 2, 2ஏ தேர்வுக்கான அறிவிப்பு வெளியிடப்பட உள்ளது. அதேபோல், மதுரையில் வினாத்தாள் வெளியானதாக வந்த தகவல் தவறானதாகும். அனைத்து வினாத்தாள், விடைத்தாள்களும் காவல் துறையின் பாதுகாப்பு, கேமரா கண்காணிப்புடன் தேர்வு மையங்களுக்கு கொண்டு செல்லப்பட்டன.

இதுதவிர டிஎன்பிஎஸ்சி நடத்தும் தேர்வுகளில் சர்ச்சைக்குரிய வினாக்கள் கேட்கப்படுவதில்லை. எனினும், இத்தகைய புகார்கள் கிடைக்கப் பெற்றால் அரசியல் சார்ந்த சர்ச்சைக்குரிய கேள்விகளை கேட்கக்கூடாது என வினாத்தாள் தயார் செய்யக்கூடிய அதிகாரிகளிடம் அறிவுறுத்தியுள்ளோம். இவ்வாறு அவர் கூறினார்.

இந்த குருப் 4 தேர்வை பொருத்தவரை நேர்முகத் தேர்வு கிடையாது. எனவே, எழுத்துத் தேர்வில் வெற்றி பெற்றாலே அரசுப் பணி வாய்ப்பு உறுதி. தற்போது 3,935 ஆக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள காலிப் பணி இடங்கள் எண்ணிக்கை மேலும் அதிகரிக்கப்படலாம் என துறை அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்தனர்.

சட்​டப் படிப்​பு​க்​கு விண்​ணப்​பிக்​க அவகாசம் நீட்​டிப்பு

 தமிழ்​நாடு அம்​பேத்​கர் சட்​டப் பல்​கலைக்​கழகத்​தின் கீழ் 26 அரசு மற்​றும் தனி​யார் சட்​டக் கல்​லூரி​கள் (சீர்​மிகு சட்​டப்​பள்ளி உட்​பட) இயங்கி வரு​கின்​றன. இவற்​றில் 3 ஆண்டு எல்​எல்பி சட்​டப் படிப்​பு​களுக்கு 2,530 இடங்​கள் இருக்​கின்றன.

இதற்​கான இணை​யதள விண்​ணப்​பப் பதிவு கடந்த ஜூன் 16-ல் தொடங்கி நடை​பெற்று வரு​கிறது. இது​வரை 12 ஆயிரத்​துக்​கும் மேற்பட்ட மாணவர்​கள் வரை விண்​ணப்​பித்​துள்​ளனர்.

இதற்கு விண்​ணப்​பிக்​கும் அவகாசம் ஜூலை 14-ம் தேதி​யுடன் முடிவடை​யும் என்று முன்பு அறிவிக்​கப்​பட்​டிருந்​தது. இந்த அவகாசம் ஜூலை 25-ம் தேதி வரை நீட்​டிக்​கப்​பட்​டுள்​ளது.
